Chess Club

The Breckenridge Chess Club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 6:00 to 7:30PM at 211 Kurtner Ct.  The purpose of this club is to provide a venue for K-12 children to play chess in a friendly, non-competitive environment.

Adults are encouraged to participate by ensuring that the kids make legal moves and by playing with the more advanced children.  All participants should know how the pieces move, but need not know the full game of chess.

Children in 4th grade and below must be accompanied by their adult/guardian for the entire evening.  The club has been meeting monthly since June 2012, with an average attendance of 18 children and 6 adults.

Dues are $5 per child per year, which helps offset the cost of equipment (e.g., chess clocks).

For questions or meeting confirmation, please contact Prakash Bhave.
